Today, we welcomed the author Marie Basting into our school. This is Marie’s third visit to D.P.S.! Marie came to talk to the children in Key Stage 2 about her brand new book, Auntie Medusa and Me. We had lots of fun listening to Marie tell us all about her new book, including some of the characters. We enjoyed playing a quiz based on Ancient Greek mythology. A particular highlight was getting some of our teachers up to dance and dab! Thank you once again to the wonderful Urmston Bookshop for organising this event. Our children are so lucky to have the opportunity to meet real life authors. Many children purchased Marie’s book and even got it signed by her.
