The children in years 4,5 and 6 were treated to a visit by the acclaimed author Barbara Mitchelhill. She talked to us about her new book entitled ‘Secret Suffragette’. She also told us all about the Suffragette movement which began in Manchester, led by Emmeline Pankhurst. It was a very enjoyable talk and we enjoyed the opportunity to listen to a real life author! Thank you to Urmston Bookshop for organising this for us.
