Today, the children enjoyed a visit from the best selling author, Ben Lyttleton. Ben is the author of the hugely popular Football School series where every lesson is about football! Ben’s talk was very engaging and all of the pupils enjoyed listening to his funny stories. Ben also talked about the importance of always working hard, trying your best, and always thinking that you can do something even better the next time. Ben spoke to the children about how he became a writer, and he even shared with us some edits of his first drafts. This showed us how important it is to listen to our teacher’s feedback about our writing in order to make it even better. All in all, this was a really fun and entertaining visit. Let’s hope some of our pupils now feel inspired by Ben to combine a passion (football) with reading and writing. A big thank you to Urmston Bookshop for arranging this visit.
