Cross Country - Saturday 10th December- ‘A Cold One’
It was touch and go whether today's race would go ahead- especially because the parkrun had been cancelled at the same site. However, with a quick redesign of the course, the children were able to run. It's not easy running in the cold: slippery conditions; lung burn; and eyes stinging from the cold wind make it more difficult than normal! That didn't stop our Cross Country Team who turned out in force today and braved the icy conditions. It was a great race with a few medals earned. As always, all the children who ran were a credit to the School, but also to their parents.
Many thanks to all the parents, grandparents, and carers who were there today to support the team- it wouldn't work without you. The next race will be in January and weekly Monday training will begin again in the new year.
Well done everybody.
N.B. If you have any pictures that were taken at the race please add them to Seesaw and I will attach them to this post- I couldn't get around at the start to take any!
