Saturday saw the return of Cross Country after a two-year gap. Trafford Athletics put on a great event for our Year 5 & Year 6 Team, and even though the weather wasn't on our side, the children showed up with smiles on their faces, ready to run!
It was a packed event on Saturday- with many schools competing. Nevertheless, our children did remarkably well. The 'Green Army' secured 'team medals' in the Year 5 Boys event and Year 5 Girls event and we also scored a Bronze Medal in the Year 5 boys race after one of our children can in the top 3! The Year 6 races are always difficult, with many club runners taking part, but that didn't put off our Year 6s who put in everything they had and all finished with huge smiles on their faces!
Our next race isn't until 20th November so the children have a nice well-deserved break. Thank you to all the parents who took time out of their weekend to support their children and the school and thank you to our wonderful children who were living our School Core-Values: Ambitious, Caring, Collaborative, and Courageous.
