The Year One children have been exploring materials and their properties this term. Last week they took part in an investigation to discover which materials are waterproof and which material would be most suitable to patch up an umbrella. The children worked carefully to pour the same amounts of water onto each materials to make it a fair test. Most of the children thought the material plastic would be most suitable to patch up an umbrella.
