Children in Year 2 have been learning about The Great Fire of London in their History lessons. They have learnt about the causes and the effects of this disastrous event, and also used historical sources to express an opinion. At home, the children have been building houses from the period 1666 with their parents and carers, these houses were placed outside in a configuration similar to the built up and cramped streets of London in 1666. The baker, Thomas Farryner let his over get a little bit too hot, and, well you can see what happened!
