Today, we all enjoyed celebrating World Book Day. The theme for this year is, ‘reading for pleasure.’ Many of our pupils enjoyed dressing up as a character from a favourite book, whilst some children brought in a special prop. We enjoyed a special World Book Day Assembly where we celebrated our love of reading. We also enjoyed sharing a book with our reading buddies and carrying out special book themed activities throughout the day such as a book treasure trail. The day ended with a book swap which was organised by our P.T.A. It really was a lovely, fun-filled day and reminded us all how much pleasure reading can give us all.
