The children in Year 6 have taken part in an exciting Mayan workshop this morning. The Enquiry Question for this topic is: In which ways was the Mayan Civilization more or less advanced than Britain in AD 900?
The children have spent time learning a lot about this fascinating empire, and this wonderful experience has given them a greater and deeper understanding of the rich and varied cultural and historical impact of the Mayans. The ability to compare and contrast civilisations is one of the key skills a historian has at his or her disposal. Today, our Year 6 were historians.
